Everyone seeks to live life to the fullest. We may be different but this is a common human connection that binds us together. ‘Ekatvam’ means ‘Oneness’ and yoga is a simple path to achieve this - the union of our physical, mental and spiritual energies. Whether you want to move effortlessly, breathe better, heal gently, grow spiritually, or simple live harmoniously with the people and world around you - you’ll find something here to guide on this journey.

Yoga in its purest form

  • Tradition is relevant

We apply ancient Vedic teachings to what people need today and inspire practitioners to use yoga as a way to improve physical well-being, transform their state of mind and lives.

  • Breath is everything

We use breath-centered vinyasa yoga principles- which acts as a bridge between the body, mind, and soul for a truly harmonious experience.

  • Yoga is for Everyone

Yoga is an inner experience which allows us to peel back the outer layers that define our human identities – from different body types to more entrenched identities across race, religion, and language.

  • Self-practice is important

We encourage self-practice as a way to tune into your intuition. Our Empowered Yogi™ program is inspired by this belief.

Hi, I’m Roopa, a mother, writer and yoga teacher. I started Ekatvam Yogashala to encourage and inspire others to start and build their own yoga practice as a way to transform their lives. Having experienced chronic pain for many years, I turned to yoga to deal with it physically and mentally. I teach Hatha and Vinyasa yoga and have completed a 500 hour teachers training from Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram and a 100 Hour Vinyasa Krama training from Srivatsa Ramasawmi - a direct student of T. Krishnamacharya. All my classes are inclusive - no matter who you are, I believe yoga has a place in your life. To me it is simply a way to live better, with more awareness, gratitude and joy.
